I was totally going to write about something else, but I just had a very uncomfortable empowerment talk from a female partner here. It was weird. I can't go into much of it other than to say that it's always a bit frustrating to have a woman tell you what it's like to be a woman. It's also hard to swallow that you should have done something differently (i.e., taken ownership) when you were doing exactly what you were told to do. And finally, I really bristle at the idea of being talked to as if I want to become partner some day when every firm knows that you probably won't and in all reality, I, me, myself, don't want to.
Ranting done.
My previous post was going to be about how I found an awesome new dentist right around the corner from my new crib and that he cleaned my teeth this morning and they now are a little sore.
Oh, and getting advice from questionable guys about your relationships can really mess with your head.
